Stewardship
Very little of the estate has changed over the last 200 years, with the exception of farming. The industry went through unprecedented modernisation in the late 19th Century, which continues today.
The estates 550 ha of arable land has a wide range of soil types from gravelly loam to chalky, flinty loam and almost everything in between. By using modern farming techniques and advanced mapping technology, the farm department have been able to reduce the amounts of inputs used and increase yields by making hyper localised agronomic plans.
Using integrated farming technology like HD satellite images helps identify issues like pests and allows for early implementation of hyper local solutions. The latest farming tech has allowed Breamore to reduce its environmental impact, minimise waste and ensure efficient production of food.
